Our idea of romantic bedrooms depend upon our beliefs about romance overall. What generates images of romance for some doesn’t even light a spark for others, much less a fire. This can be very true for two people who have been together for many years. Busy and demanding lives, jobs, schedules and endless deadlines have all but minimized the notions of romantic bedrooms. Escalating personal and professional demands leave us almost no time for dream-chasing. Clean sheets are a given and a bed that’s made earns high marks for sleeping, but that’s about all it rates. But who has the desire for romantic bedrooms you wonder? After all, making over a bedroom is a major project. It’s time consuming, and potentially costly and risky. You don't know if your spouse or partner even cares or will even notice. If you don’t know the answer to the question, then it’s probably time for a change. You’ll also find lots of pictures and helpful articles written by interior design professionals. 2) How to avoid breaking the bank - The Internet is filled with lots of shops that offer romantic bedrooms dйcor items at discount prices. You can also save your $3 per gallon gasoline and visit more online retailers in less time. Check out auction web sites and online outlets for low-priced, high quality linens such as egyptian cotton sheets. Many of these sites will often throw in free-shipping as well. 3) Keep your spouse or partner in mind - There are certain predictableed risks with any aspect of an intimate relationship. But everything will be fine if the romantic bedroom theme you choose express appreciation and celebration of the unique bond that is shared. A caring and warm environment will allow the bond to be strengthened on the spiritual, emotional and physical levels. Now, to really make your romantic bedroom be the inviting oasis that you intended for your spouse or partner, use these can't miss ideas to turn up the heat. In combination, they’ll send a sensually effective signal that your spouse or partner can’t possibly miss. Prepare yourself for an immediate response. Boudoir Basics - romantic bedrooms that work 1) Shedding some light - romantic bedrooms lighting While the electric lighting has its purpose, it can be a diminishing element. Avoid fluorescents, which create a stark, business-like environment. Use soft lighting in various colors. Decorative oil lamps or antique lanterns also create a dreamy feel. Candles always offer wonderfully subtle lighting in any style of romantic bedrooms dйcor. While tea candles will always work, use decorative candles that match your dйcor or personal tastes. 2) Hints of romance - romantic bedrooms fragrances Just as the oven’s aroma sparks the appetite for food, the fragrance of the bedroom stimulates our senses as well. While bland foods are sufficient, the aromas of certain dishes create an immediate craving. Not convinced? Stop by a local bakery first thing tomorrow morning just for a cup of coffee. What happens? You leave with coffee and the undeniably convicting evidence ... a plain white paper bag filled with pleasure. 3) Perfect topping - romantic bedrooms finishing touches Security is a residual component of developing and sharing an intimate relationship. This natural progress of the relationship can be advanced by creating a definite confine or boundary signifying its importance. A canopy transforms a bed from a piece of furniture into a sanctuary perpetuating closeness and intimacy.

Choosing the right chain link fence for your home
Chain link fence (also known as chainlink fence ) is one of the most common styles of fencing for both residential and commercial applications. It comes in a variety of sizes, strengths, and finishes, each which should be selected based on the purpose of the fence. You may even discover some options you hadn't considered before. The article presents some issues that should be taken into account when you choose a chain lnk fence. When choosing a fencing system, always check local zoning regulations and know where your property line is. Also check for underground utilities. Before you begin any excavation you need to call and check for underground utilities. Wood Panel Fencing is commonly used as a decorative means of providing privacy for homes in neighborhood settings. It's also a good choice for setting boundaries for small children and pets. You can easily match the fence to your landscape with stain or paint. If a wood fence doesn't fit your needs, or taste, you certainly have other choices. From ornamental steel and composite wood products to PVC systems, chain-link and more, there's sure to be a design and material choice to suit your home. Chain-link fencing is enduring, affordable and adds a practical investment to your home. Chain link or hurricane fencing is an economical way to enclose an area. Chain link fencing comes in rolls from 25' to 100' long and 4' to 6' high, with prefabricated gates up to 5' wide. If you don't like the silvery look of the bare fence, it's available with a weather resistant vinyl coating, usually green or brown. Chain link is a good choice for keeping pets in or other creatures out. Choosing a chain link fence isn't as easy as it used to be. This traditional, all galvanized steel product now comes in a multitude of colors and weights to meet the needs of any commercial, industrial or residential setting. Vinyl coating, powder-coating, and fuse bonding are all new techniques used to offer chain link in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and strengths. Consequently, the new chain link fence is a more viable option for settings requiring both security and style. Identifying the purpose of your chain link fence is one of the most important steps you frequently not taken. Not understanding all of the tasks you want your chain link fence to accomplish can quickly lead to disappointment with its performance. For instance, will the fence encloser a larger pet? Will it be subject to children climbing on it or playing near it? Will it be near to significant vegetation? Will motor vehicle traffic or parking be nearby? Organized sports activities? Once these issues have been identified, it’s time to look at the four components of a chain link fence: fabric, framework, fittings and gates. Fabrics is the diamond-shaped steel wire that comproses the „field” of the fence. Framework consist of the posts and supports for the fabric. Fittings hold the fabric to the framework. Gates are the entrance and exit portals into the space enclosed by the fence. There are three critera you should use in choosing the fabric: how thick the wire is, the size of the openings in the wire, and how the wire is coated for protection. The thickness of the wire in chain link fence fabric, or gauge, is important in the fence’s strength. Thinner gauges are more often seen in commercial use. Be sure to choose a sufficient gauge of wire for the fabric, or the fence will look worn and tired well before it’s time. Choosing framework components have similar considerations we saw with the fence fabric: gauge of the support pipe, diameter of the support pipe, and coating. Diameter of the pipe should also be chosen based on how high the fence is going to be. As you might surmise, the fittings that hold the fabric to the framework should also be of sufficient gauge, and sufficiently protected, to keep the fence looking as new as possible for as long as possible. Here is also where you consider the aesthetics you want your fence to have. Finally, consider making sure your gate and gate hardware is sufficiently strong to accommodate the anticipated use. Fence gates generally come in three styles: bnt-frame gates, where the frame of the gate is one pipe that has been bent to form the gate; wlded-frame gates, where four pipes are welded at the corners and asembled gates, where four pipes are mechanically attached to each other.

Garage insulation saves you money
Garage insulation is probably not something you think about very often. Most homeowners keep their attics and walls well insulated because they know it saves on energy costs. But, since garages are unconditioned spaces, not heated or cooled, it does not makes sense to insulate them. Or does it? An uninsulated garage can become as hot or cold as it is outside. This may not be a problem in the garage, but, with uninsulated walls and a ceiling shared between the garage and your home, it can become a costly source of energy loss. In addition, harmful fumes in your garage, from car exhaust, fertilizers, paints, etc., can easily enter your home. The best way to keep the harmful elements in your garage from entering your home is to insulate the walls and ceiling that is shared between the garage and home. However, you have a number of options for insulating your garage walls and choosing the right one can make a big difference. Batt insulation, long a popular choice for insulating attics and walls, is often the first type of insulation homeowners think of when insulating. While the R-values (the rating of insulation performance) for batt insulation may be similar to other insulating materials, it is not the best choice for garages. Batt insulation is installed in rolls, or batts. The batts do not seal spaces between the wall and ceiling and gaps can form between insulation rolls. The gaps allow energy to escape from your home and fumes to enter. Batt insulation is also susceptible to damage from moisture, further reducing its insulating ability. Foam-board insulation, solid sheets of molded polystyrene, offers similar R-values as batt insulation, but is less bulky. However, foam-board insulation also does not fill all the gaps in your wall and spaces can occur between the sheets of insulation. To reduce energy loss and fume seepage from your garage as much as possible, you need insulation that fills every gap and covers your garage walls and ceiling with a tight seal. Spray foam garage insulation spreads on application and fills all the gaps. R-values are the same as similar thicknesses of foam-board insulation and spray foam insulation is resistant to moisture damage.

Kirby vacuum cleaners don t shoot the messenger
Kirby vacuum cleaners are probably most renowned for the way in which they are sold, and while the door-to-door sales technique may have many critics, it has become the linchpin to the Kirby way of life. If results are anything to go by, the technique has a proven track record with Kirby vacuum cleaners, but for many consumers it remains a deterrent to purchasing what is arguably one of the most well built cleaners available today. A quick visit to Kirby vacuum cleaners’ website indicates the company’s reliance on its sales technique – there are very few details available there about any Kirby vacuum cleaner parts, bags or the cleaners themselves. Through the website it is, however, possible to arrange to have a consultant visit your home to display Kirby vacuum cleaners in action. This hands on experience undoubtedly provides consumers with the chance to see for themselves the effectiveness of Kirby vacuum cleaners and to ask the salesman any questions they might have about the cleaner’s use or maintenance, including discovering what Kirby vacuum cleaner parts are right for you and how often Kirby vacuum cleaner bags need to be changed. Kirby vacuum cleaners’ salesmen also call unannounced, a trend that some consumers find invasive enough to put them off purchasing what is generally agreed to be a reliable cleaner. Sales techniques are reputed to be rather hard-core on occasion – allegations have been put forth that sales people are advised to target older people who might find it harder to refuse the Kirby vacuum cleaners’ salesman. The sales techniques used by Kirby vacuum cleaners might be controversial, but the quality of the cleaners themselves is not. Though they are expensive and unlike many of their modern counterparts they require the purchase of Kirby vacuum cleaner bags, these cleaners are built to last a lifetime. And, in fact, with a lifetime guarantee, Kirby vacuum cleaners are clearly built to last. People might not like the sales technique, but they sure do love the cleaner.

Tips to remove allergy triggers in your home
When most people think of allergies, they automatically think their home is a safe haven from sniffling, sneezing and watery eyes. Although you might have the cleanest home on the block, allergy triggers could still be lurking inside. "In the cooler months, as people make their homes warm and well-sealed against cold air, the atmosphere becomes a haven for dust mites, pet dander and molds," said Dr. Anna Marie, The Weather Channel's health specialist and host of the syndicated better-living show, "Your Life With Dr. Anna Marie." "These can all cause sneezing, itching and watery eyes, congestion, and a runny nose." Recent reports state that it may be irritants, not germs, that cause chronic colds. When the furnace kicks on, dust that has settled into the carpet, atop bookshelves and beneath furniture gets stirred up and cycled through the air. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, indoor levels of many air pollutants may be two to five times, and in some cases more than 100 times, higher than outdoor levels. According to Dr. Anna Marie, here are some tips to help reduce indoor allergens and help you stay sniffle-free. * To get rid of mold, clean the areas with bleach. Try a solution of 5 percent bleach and a small amount of detergent to 95 percent water. * Keep a humidity level of 30 percent or 40 percent in the house to make conditions for mold growth less optimal. This can be achieved through the use of an automatic whole-home humidifier. * Add a whole-house air filter to your furnace. A typical throwaway furnace filter traps only about 15 percent of indoor air pollutants. Laboratory tests show that whole-house electronic air cleaners, from companies like Aprilaire, can eliminate up to 99.5 percent of pollen, spores and ragweed. According to Aprilaire, the technological advancement of its filter combined with electronic components allows it to be one of the most efficient air cleaners on the market. It also requires the filter to be changed only once a year. * To control animal dander, keep animals out of your bedroom and have them groomed weekly. * To control dust mites, clean and dust more frequently. Use an airtight, allergy-proof plastic cover on all mattresses, pillows and box springs. * Shampoo or replace your carpet or remove the carpet altogether. By taking these simple steps to improve indoor air quality, your home will once again be a safe haven for you and your family.

The origin of grandfather clocks
Remember those big, wooden clocks with long pendulums and which gives out eerie sounds? Antique clocks can evoke feelings of nostalgia for times gone by. Hearing the clock going ding-dong could either bring a person back to the past or to a time in the future. Clocks, no matter what kind they are, have always been an important aspect of man’s life. The invention of the clock has made life easier for humans, who used to tell time by the way the sun’s rays were positioned in the sky. Our ancestors could tell it is noon when the sun is set at a certain height or level in the sky. While this system worked, it made the telling of time impossible during night time or at times when it is raining. Mechanical clocks which sounded a bell at every hour were invented in the 1300s. However, these clocks were so primitive they did not have minute hands or faces which could easily tell the time the way the clocks do nowadays. The discovery of the coiled spring in the 1400s made possible for the existence of smaller clocks and even watches. It was in the 1600s when the pendulum clock was invented by Christiaan Huygens. However, the pendulum clock was still considered inaccurate. Such was the British Parliament’s yearning for a clock that could accurately tell the time, that a cash reward awaited anyone who could create a clock that could be used even for navigation. Finally, the accurate clock was invented and humans were once again able to navigate and work, knowing that their clocks were telling them the right time. One of the clocks that have become famous is the grandfather clock. This clock is known for being a work of art in itself, enclosed in a tower case and has a long pendulum. Remember that in the olden days, the longer the pendulum of the clock was, the more accurate the time. Grandfather clocks usually measured high at a minimum of six feet tall, and the tower made of hardwood and glass. The Grandfather clock actually referred to the floor clock kept in the George Hotel in England, owned by the two brothers. The death of one of the brothers resulted to time malfunction of the floor clock. When the clock started to fail when the second brother died, the clock was never repaired. This was the same clock which inspired the song “My Grandfather’s Clock”, composed by Henry Clay Work in 1875 and written after he stayed in the George Hotel and learned of the story of the two brothers. Most Grandfather clocks are striking clocks. Striking clocks, like the Big Ben clock in London, are clocks that make a gong sound at every hour.

The importance of a pest inspection
The excitement of buying a new home and the desire to save money can lead the potential homeowner down a dark, crumbling drywall road. Some people think that a pest inspection is an unnecessary and costly step in the home buying process, especially if neighboring houses don't have a problem or the owner swears upon the sanctity of their mother's grave that there are no bug problems. However, I believe that it is a lot more costly to pay to evict two million tiny squatters and repair the damage they cost you. Some people are of the opinion that pests only infest lower-quality houses and condos, but this is fallacious in the extreme. Any residence can serve as a cafeteria for wood-destroying organisms. And, if you're paying several hundred thousands of dollars more than the homes you would think would be more prey to this kind of problem, doesn't it make sense to make sure that money is well invested in a solid structure? A pest inspection is often called a termite inspection because termites are the most infamous of the pests who like to snack on your house and belongings. However, there are more critters out there that like to argue the merits of pine vs fir. Some of these include carpenter ants, carpet beetles and silverfish. All of these pests like wood, but they can leave different evidence that only an experienced person can detect. Like the home inspection, the pest inspection should be part of your paperwork. Your offer to purchase the home should be conditional upon the home meeting a standard that you have determined that you can live with. Sometimes a small nest of nasties can be eradicated with a small outlay of time and noxious chemicals. However, if the supports of the house resemble birds' bones, you should take your down payment and back slowly away. A good pest inspector is going to take their time to thoroughly inspect your house. Since a lot of pests don't always go out of their way to yell, HI! I'm HERE!" to the concerned home buyer, pest inspectors have to crawl into out-of-the-way spots, like the attic or basement, to check for signs. It's sometimes a dusty and dirty job, but most pest inspectors are prepared for this. Before you invite a pest inspector to look over your future domicile, it's wise to ask them questions, check out their references and check their licensing. Licensing can vary from state to state, so be aware of the laws of your area. During the inspection, the inspector should be willing to answer your questions and point out problem areas. You should get a full report and an estimate of the standard that the home meets. Keep in mind that a pest inspector is not Superman; X-ray vision is beyond them. They cannot guarantee that your future residence is free of pests; just that it appears free. Many recommend regular inspections, to catch problems before they become a serious threat to the soundness and equity of your house.
The newest trends styles and types of residential and commercial vacuum cleaners
There have been some really great new innovations in types of vacuum cleaners that have come on to the vacuum cleaner market in recent years. It seems that vacuum cleaner manufacturers are really starting to listen to the commercial cleaning companies and modeled new vacuum cleaners to fill niches for specific vacuum cleaning tasks. What would be the perfect vacuum cleaner? The perfect vacuum cleaner would be different for certain types of vacuum cleaner tasks but might cross over into other areas of vacuuming if needed. The biggest trend in vacuum cleaners in the past few years is weight. Lighter vacuum cleaners reduce strain on the operator and are easier to maneuver. The problem with light weight vacuum cleaners is that when you reduce weight you also reduce the power of the vacuum cleaner by utilizing a smaller motor and weaker components. In recent years as new technologies have entered the vacuum cleaner market we see a trend in more efficient and smaller motors that yield the same power as the motor of 10 years ago. As the vacuum cleaner manufacturers perfect these latest technologies, vacuum cleaners will get lighter without the loss of brush speed and suction power. Vacuum maneuverability is a key issue in the commercial cleaning world. In the commercial cleaning industry labor dollars have to be cut in order to make the same profits of years past due to fierce competition and the flood of new commercial cleaning companies to the cleaning market. The speed in which cleaning company employees can clean a building and maintain a high level of quality is becoming a huge factor in running an efficient cleaning operation. One tool that is being utilized by commercial cleaning companies to aid in labor savings is the back pack cordless vacuum cleaner. Until now battery power and weight have down-played the role of the cordless vacuum cleaner. With new lighter weight and more powerful batteries, vacuum cleaner units can be developed that rival their plug in cousins. The ability to vacuum quickly without having to deal with a 100 foot cord is now a reality. New back pack vacuum cleaners have come to the vacuum market that tote incredible power packing just a few extra pounds over the standard 120 volt plug in back pack vacuummercial cleaning employees can now vacuum the same area in just over 70% of the original time it took the old plug in vacuum cleaners. These new rechargeable back pack vacuums cost a little more in start up costs but will save commercial cleaning company owners a lot of money in employee labor savings. Noise has always been an issue when vacuuming in public areas. The old trend for vacuuming populated areas during business hours has been to use a mechanical sweeper vacuum sometimes called a hokey. These smaller vacuum cleaners work great on extremely small and light debris but lack the power and suction for completing the task with perfect results. The latest tread in mechanical sweepers is to get rid of the word mechanical and add the word vacuum. New vacuum sweepers are emerging in the lobby and restaurant markets and are packing quite a punch. These new rechargeable electric sweepers are ideal for picking up wet or dry debris and can run up to 2 hours on a single charge and have the option of multiple batteries with recharging units for extended use.

Hardwood floors for interior design and for home decorating
Using hardwood floors for interior design and for home decorating, based on furniture of the eighteenth century may be discussed from different points of view. However, what most people realize is the distinguish details of tables made from that century. Dinner and wine tables were some of those pieces of furniture that could add a different touch of class to your interior decorating. Learn from the history of furniture book, by Frederick Litchfield ideas on how 18th century furniture, from the earliest to the present time. To the latter part of the eighteenth century the English furniture of which time has been discussed on the site belong the quaint little "urn stands" which were made to hold the urn with boiling water, while the tea pot was placed on the little slide which is drawn out from underneath the table top. In those days tea was an expensive luxury, and the urn stand, of which there is an illustration, inlaid in the fashion of the time, is a dainty relic of the past, together with the old mahogany or marqueterie tea caddy, which was sometimes the object of considerable skill and care. They were fitted with two and sometimes three bottles or tea-pays of silver or Battersea enamel, to hold the black and green teas, and when really good examples of these daintily-fitted tea caddies are offered for sale, they bring large sums. Eighteenth Century Wine Tables The wine table of this time deserves a word. These are now somewhat rare, and are only to be found in a few old houses, and in some of the Colleges at Oxford and Cambridge. These were found with revolving tops, which had circles turned out to a slight depth for each glass to stand in, and they were sometimes shaped like the half of a flat ring. These latter were for placing in front of the fire, when the outer side of the table formed a convivial circle, round which the sitters gathered after they had left the dinner table. One of these old tables is still to be seen in the Hall of Gray's Inn, and the writer was told that its fellow was broken and had been "sent away." They are nearly always of good rich mahogany, and have legs more or less ornamental according to circumstances. A distinguishing feature of English furniture of the last century was the partiality for secret drawers and contrivances for hiding away papers or valued articles; and in old secretaries and writing tables we find a great many ingenious designs which remind us of the days when there were but few banks, and people kept money and deeds in their own custody.
